Analogue Photography

A lot of my photographic work focuses on questions of home and belonging. The concept of ‘Heimat’ is central to German culture and identity and is intrinsically tied to location and nature. As a German artist, I have a lot of love and appreciation for nature, a highly localised sense of home and often find myself on a quest for images of pastoral beauty. In these photographs, I try to achieve a dream-like quality to convey memories of childhood and the hazy yearning for a home far-away.
I develop my own negatives and use my techniques for analogue photography in workshops with communities.
